Introduce Yourself / Re: Just a crotchety old man trying to mine some Bitcoins

Might as well since all the other stuff is self taught, but this coding thing is like trying to understand aliens when your brain is so old, dry and smooth as an egg.  :o
I know the feeling so well, I'm trying to crack into C# (self taught) and while some things look logical enough, other times I feel like it would be easier to unravel the mysteries of the universe when it comes to learning coding!
It's hard to become a good coder! I dropped out of school for it, but I want to try again one day when I'm less busy. Right now I can only make text adventures with C++, no graphics or networking or anything.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Greetings everyone - CoMa/CM from Hash Rush here!

Okay awesome. Looking forward to the thread.

Yes i agree, the idea of forum is great if managed well. Some great discussion and thus outputs are possible. Take the example of bitcointalk forum.

It is a nice way to communicate online
Sorry about the short absence, but I'm back to lurk on these forums! :)
You're totally right, forums can provide for some great discussions, I do like bitcointalk, but sometimes I think that they are a victim of their own success and have grown slightly too large (it's quite hard to bring up 'new' blockchain products e.g. gaming there). But hopefully that's where your forums come into play!

Blockchain Games / Re: Hash Rush - An online RTS powered by Blockchain
« Last post by Darkfall on July 23, 2018, 08:04:13 PM »
Glad you like the idea of the game!

We are balancing the game between Blockchain and traditional RTS, so all resources are 'normal' game resources (not on the Blockchain).
When it comes to items, we are splitting them up, common items are not on the Blockchain, however, the rare/legendary items are.

If you are interested in the game, you can sign up for our alpha test which starts on the 31st of July: https://www.hashrush.com/alpha/signup

Great to have you on the forum! I'm sure we'll get a marketplace of game assets developing here soon enough

Welcome! You should make a thread about your website. Eventually when we have a news section, we might link to your articles now and then ;)

Sounds exciting! Will the resources and crafted items be on the blockchain, too?

My keynote at the Blockchain Game Summit will be on the Past, Present and Future of Blockchain Gaming, a good way for people who haven't been following the last few years to get up to speed. The conference in Lyon will be sponsored by Ubisoft, a major mainstream video game developer with offices in the city.
